Rising Stars Pediatric Dentistry & Orthodontics is looking for a full-time Dental Insurance Billing Specialist to join our growing team. As a member of our Insurance Team, you'll play a key role in managing insurance claims, maintaining accurate patient accounts, and supporting our front office teams to deliver an exceptional experience for the families we serve across our two pediatric dental locations.
What You'll Do
- Work closely with our Insurance Team to ensure timely and accurate claim processing.
- Submit, monitor, and follow up on dental insurance claims.
- Review, post, and reconcile Explanation of Benefits (EOBs).
- Maintain accurate patient ledgers and account balances.
- Verify and document insurance benefits and breakdowns.
- Communicate with insurance companies regarding claim status, denials, appeals, and outstanding claims.
- Assist parents with insurance questions and billing inquiries over the phone.
- Collaborate with our front office teams to resolve billing discrepancies and support patient account needs.
- Ensure accurate claim submission using current CDT dental codes.
- Monitor insurance aging, outstanding claims, and collections.
- Maintain detailed documentation and patient records in Open Dental.
- Identify opportunities to improve billing workflows, insurance reimbursement, and collections processes.
What We're Looking For
- Previous dental billing experience is required.
- Open Dental experience is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of dental insurance, insurance claims, EOBs, reimbursement processes, and patient account management.
- Knowledge of CDT dental codes and dental insurance terminology.
- Experience with insurance verification and insurance benefit breakdowns.
- Excellent phone communication and customer service skills with the ability to confidently assist parents and patients.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks while working independently and collaboratively with our Insurance Team.

Pay: $21.00 - $24.00 per hour
