Lead Welder & Fabricator — Steel Pool Manufacturing

Ecopool builds patented steel swimming pools in our Salado factory. Every pool starts with your welds.
We need a Lead Welder & Fabricator to run the department.
The role
You're a craftsman who also leads. You'll be on the floor every day — running MIG, training your team, and solving the hard fab problems as they come up.
- Lead the welding and fabrication team (3–5 welders/fabricators depending on production).
- Run MIG and build to spec.
- Hold the quality line. Welds that don't pass don't move.
- Train new welders and fabricators. Set the bar for what good work looks like.
- Work with the production manager on schedule, materials, and bottlenecks.
- Keep the area clean, safe, and organized.
What you bring
- 5+ years welding and fabrication experience, with at least 3 years of MIG.
- Real fab shop background — you've worked from prints, jigs, and tolerance specs.
- Experience leading or training other welders.
- Comfortable running and troubleshooting MIG equipment and basic cutting
- You take pride in the work. You don't ship cold welds, undercuts, or hack jobs — and you don't let your team either.
- Reliable. Show up, work the shift, lead by example.
- Able to lift 50 lbs and stand a full shift.

- Brand new, state of the art fabrication facility is under construction. You'll help stand up the next fab cell.

Compensation
