Irrigation Technician
Property Owners Association – Country Club of Louisiana
The Country Club of Louisiana Property Owners Association is seeking an experienced, full-time Irrigation Technician to install, maintain, and repair irrigation systems throughout our community's common areas, entrances, and grounds. This is a hands-on role for someone who takes pride in keeping our property looking its best.
Responsibilities:
Diagnose and repair irrigation system malfunctions, including valves, controllers, pumps, sprinkler heads, and piping. Perform routine system inspections, seasonal start-ups/shutdowns, and winterization. Program and adjust irrigation controllers to optimize watering schedules and conserve water. Install new irrigation lines and components as needed for landscape projects. Troubleshoot electrical and hydraulic issues within irrigation systems. Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts used, and system maps. Coordinate with the grounds and landscaping team to address problem areas. Respond promptly to system leaks, breaks, or malfunctions, including occasional after-hours calls. Follow all safety protocols when operating equipment and working near roadways or amenities.
Qualifications:
Minimum 1–3 years of hands-on irrigation system experience required. Louisiana Irrigation License preferred. Working knowledge of irrigation system design, controllers, and water management best practices. Ability to read irrigation blueprints/system maps. Basic electrical troubleshooting skills. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform physical labor, including lifting, digging, and kneeling. Strong attention to detail and reliability.
