We are seeking a highly organized Dealership Parts Manager to lead our parts department with enthusiasm and precision. Responsibilities
- Manage the entire parts inventory, including ordering, receiving, storage, and distribution to ensure optimal stock levels and availability for automotive repairs and service
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) suppliers and other vendors to secure competitive pricing and reliable supply chains
- Oversee procurement management processes, including sourcing parts, negotiating prices, and managing purchase orders within ERP systems or order management systems
- Utilize automotive diagnostics knowledge to identify parts requirements accurately and support the service team’s needs efficiently
- Implement warehouse management best practices, including inventory control, shipping & receiving procedures, and equipment repair oversight such as forklifts and HVAC systems
- Coordinate demand planning activities to forecast parts needs based on service schedules, historical data, and market trends
- Ensure compliance with safety standards related to warehouse experience, equipment operation (including forklift certification), and automotive repair procedures
Experience
- Proven experience in dealership parts management or a similar automotive supply chain role with extensive knowledge of inventory management, sourcing, procurement, and logistics
- Strong understanding of automotive diagnostics, OEM specifications, auto body repair processes, and automotive service operations
- Demonstrated ability in negotiation skills to secure favorable terms with suppliers while maintaining quality standards
- Familiarity with warehouse experience including shipping & receiving procedures, equipment repair (e.g., forklifts), and inventory control practices
- Excellent customer service skills combined with mechanical knowledge to support internal teams and external clients effectively
- Ability to manage data entry accurately while overseeing procurement activities within a fast-paced environment
