Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Preschool Lead Teacher to inspire young learners and foster a nurturing, engaging classroom environment. As a key leader in early childhood education, you will develop and implement age-appropriate curricula, promote social-emotional growth, and ensure each child's developmental needs are met with enthusiasm and professionalism. Duties
- Design and execute innovative lesson plans aligned with preschool standards, incorporating curriculum development, literacy education, math, physical education, and early childhood development principles.
- Lead daily classroom activities that promote active learning, social skills, and emotional well-being for children across toddler to preschool age groups.
- Manage classroom behavior through effective behavior management strategies while fostering a respectful and inclusive environment.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to share progress updates, address concerns, and build strong partnerships supporting each child's growth.
- Oversee classroom safety protocols, including first aid and CPR procedures, ensuring compliance with mandated reporting laws and child welfare policies.
- Collaborate with team members to assess student progress through standardized testing and formative assessments; adjust instructional strategies accordingly.
- Support children with special education needs or early intervention requirements by adapting activities to meet diverse learning styles and developmental stages.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with children in early childhood settings; preschool teaching experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of childhood development instruction, classroom management, behavior management techniques, and curriculum development.
- Certification in first aid and CPR; familiarity with mandated reporting laws is essential.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, staff, and community partners.
- Demonstrated ability to plan engaging lessons that incorporate literacy education, math skills, physical activity, and social-emotional learning.
- Experience working with children requiring special education or early intervention services is a plus.
- Ability to maintain a safe classroom environment while fostering creativity and curiosity in young learners.
