Job Overview
Cotterman Company is seeking a reliable and safety-focused Machine Operator II to join our production team. This role is responsible for operating machinery, supporting production processes, and ensuring high-quality output in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate machinery and equipment to produce parts efficiently and safely
- Set up and run additional machines as needed for production
- Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment
- Move materials and finished products between work areas
- Inspect parts and ladders for quality issues such as weld defects or flaws
- Perform finishing processes including power washing and powder coating
- Assist with wash rack and coating equipment maintenance and cleanliness
- Assemble, tag, and prepare ladders for shipment (including shrink-wrapping and crating)
- Follow all safety standards and report unsafe conditions immediately
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Collaborate with team members to resolve production issues
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervision
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong hand-eye coordination and mechanical aptitude
- Experience with power tools and industrial equipment preferred
- Ability to read blueprints and follow work instructions
- Basic measuring skills
- Forklift certification (or ability to obtain)
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
Additional Requirements
- Must be able to wear a respirator and complete required medical evaluation and fit testing
- Ability to work in environments involving wash racks, powder coating, and ovens

Pay: $22.87 - $23.87 per hour
