- Duties
- Perform a wide range of dental procedures including examinations, cleanings, fillings, extractions, root canal therapy, prosthodontics, and oral surgery with precision and care
- Assess patient needs through thorough examinations, medical and dental histories, and detailed patient assessments
- Utilize dental terminology effectively to communicate treatment plans and educate patients about oral health practices
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and dental records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and clinic policies
- Apply aseptic techniques and infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff
- Use dental imaging technology such as digital X-rays to diagnose conditions accurately and plan treatments
- Collaborate with team members in four-handed dentistry practices to enhance efficiency and patient comfort
- Stay current with advancements in pediatric dentistry, endodontics, and other specialties to provide the highest quality care
Qualifications
- Dental degree from an accredited institution with valid licensure to practice dentistry in the relevant jurisdiction
- Proven experience working in a dental clinic or office environment with proficiency in general dentistry procedures
- Familiarity with dental software systems such as Epic, Eaglesoft, Dentrix for scheduling, charting, and record management
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, infection control standards, and medical imaging techniques
- Experience performing dental extractions, root canal therapy, prosthodontics, endodontics, and oral surgery preferred
- Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations regarding patient privacy and medical documentation requirements
- Excellent communication skills to explain treatment options clearly and empathetically to patients
- Ability to work efficiently within a team while maintaining high standards of patient care
