Sr Manufacturing Engineer (Process Improvement / NPI)

JMT Staffing is partnering with a growing, industry-leading manufacturer in the cooling equipment space to hire a Sr Manufacturing Engineer. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who thrives on improving processes, supporting new product launches, and working directly with production teams.
What You’ll Do
- Serve as the go-to technical resource on the shop floor to troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing issues
- Drive root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent repeat problems
- Support new product introductions (NPI) including prototype builds and DFM/DFA input
- Develop and improve assembly and testing processes for electro-mechanical products
- Lead process improvements focused on efficiency, quality, and cost reduction
- Design and enhance tooling, fixtures, and workflows (including automation where applicable)
- Create and maintain work instructions, routings, and training materials
- Partner with production teams to identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives
- Lead or participate in 8D problem-solving and corrective action efforts
- Support capital equipment and facility-related projects
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering
- 7+ years of manufacturing engineering experience
- Strong background in process improvement and assembly operations
- Experience supporting new product introductions (NPI)
- Hands-on, shop floor-oriented mindset
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma methodologies
- Proficiency with CAD tools (SolidWorks preferred)
Nice to Have
- Experience with refrigeration, cooling systems, or fluid/process piping
- Background in electro-mechanical assembly environments
- PPAP, manufacturing transfers, or plant layout experience
