Duties
- Greet customers warmly, listen to their needs, and provide expert product recommendations to enhance their shopping experience
- Process sales transactions accurately using cash handling, cashiering, and cash management procedures
- Maintain knowledge of retail products, and store promotions to inform and upsell effectively
- Handle cash register operations efficiently, including balancing cash drawers at shift end using retail math skills
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring customer satisfaction
Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and a positive attitude are essential
- Basic math skills including retail math, cash handling, and 10 key typing proficiency for accurate transactions
- Familiarity with financial software or point-of-sale systems is a plus but not mandatory; training will be provided
- Strong communication skills to explain products clearly and confidently
- Ability to perform basic math calculations quickly and accurately for cash management and transaction processing
- Demonstrated reliability in handling cash, processing transactions, and maintaining confidentiality of customer information
- A proactive approach to assisting customers and working collaboratively within a team environment
