PARAPROFESSIONAL Cedarwood GNETS Services - - serving students with Emotional and Behavioral Disorders & students with Autism.
Georgia Paraprofessional Certification required or eligible for one.
Preferred experience working with children with emotional/behavioral difficulties.
General Nature of Work:
Works in therapeutic classroom assisting the Teacher by giving individual attention to students and preparing materials for daily use. General supervision from the Teacher and Site coordinator.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assists Teacher in implementing therapeutic techniques for students with emotional behavioral problems.
- Provides individualized assistance to students with learning tasks.
- Collects materials for class and returns them after class each day.
- Keeps classroom clean and orderly.
- Provides support to children being served by Program in crisis situation.
Qualifications and Certification:
· Minimum Education and Experience: High school graduate.
· Minimum Certification: Paraprofessional License
· Preferred Education and Experience: Two years of college and one year employment working with children.
WORK SCHEDULE: 8-hour day, 190 days per year.
