Black Mountain Academy is hiring PRN/As Needed Overnight Awake Residential Coaches to join our dedicated team. This is a meaningful opportunity to support high school students—primarily assigned male at birth—who are neurodiverse and learning to thrive socially, emotionally, and academically.
As a third-shift coach, you’ll help ensure a safe, structured overnight environment while also assisting with morning routines and light household duties.
What You’ll Do:
- Stay awake and attentive to student needs during overnight hours
- Conduct regular night checks to ensure safety
- Support students with morning routines and daily transitions
- Prepare light meals and complete general cleaning tasks
- Collaborate with staff to help students achieve therapeutic and educational goals
What We’re Looking For:
- Compassionate, dependable, and student-centered individuals
- Calm under pressure and able to handle overnight responsibilities independently
- Open to feedback and willing to learn therapeutic strategies
- Previous experience in mental health or behavioral support is a plus, but not required
Compensation & Benefits:
- Pay starts at $19.00 an hour

Requirements:
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check
- Must be able to stay awake and alert during overnight hours
