Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods (Chocolate, sweets, and snacks) to various locations while ensuring timely and safe delivery. This role requires excellent driving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage inventory effectively. As a Delivery Driver, you will play a crucial role in maintaining customer satisfaction through efficient delivery services.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate delivery vehicles to transport goods to designated locations.
- Load and unload products, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including shipping documents and inventory levels.
- Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise.
- Assist in order fulfillment by picking orders accurately from the warehouse.
- Participate in inventory management by tracking stock levels and reporting discrepancies.
- Collaborate with team members in shipping and receiving operations as needed.
Skills
- Mechanical knowledge for basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Experience with order picking, building orders accurately for delivery.
- Know shipping receiving processes and order fulfillment practices.
- Ability to operate equipment safely when required for loading or unloading tasks.
- Competent in materials handling techniques to ensure safe lifting practices, especially when lifting is involved.
