Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Director of Safety and Compliance to lead our organization’s safety initiatives and ensure adherence to all regulatory standards across our global operations. In this pivotal role, you will develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive safety protocols, compliance programs, and risk management strategies that promote a safe working environment and uphold the highest standards of regulatory adherence. Your leadership will drive continuous improvement in safety performance, foster a culture of compliance, and ensure our operations meet or exceed all applicable local, national, and international regulations. Responsibilities
- Class A CDL a plus but not required
- Develop and execute strategic safety policies aligned with DOT transportation safety regulations, and industry best practices.
- Oversee compliance management for logistics, freight, customs brokerage, import/export operations, and supply chain activities across multiple jurisdictions.
- Manage regulatory reporting requirements related to safety incidents, environmental compliance, and other legal obligations.
- Lead risk management initiatives by identifying potential hazards within transportation management, fleet operations, and warehouse activities; implement mitigation strategies effectively.
- Ensure adherence to international trade regulations, customs clearance procedures, and customs regulations compliance to facilitate smooth cross-border trade.
- Utilize global trade management software and Excel data analysis tools to monitor safety metrics, compliance KPIs, and audit results; prepare detailed reports for executive review.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop training programs on DOT standards, transportation safety regulations, export/import procedures, and regulatory compliance protocols.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of evolving regulations such as FDA regulations for imported goods and transportation management standards to ensure ongoing compliance.
Requirements
- Proven experience in regulatory compliance management within logistics or supply chain environments; familiarity with DOT standards is essential.
- Technical proficiency with global trade management software, Excel data analysis tools, and report writing for regulatory documentation.
- In-depth knowledge of transportation safety regulations, fleet management practices, freight handling procedures, and logistics compliance standards.
- Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to influence organizational culture toward safety excellence and regulatory adherence.
- Excellent communication skills to convey complex regulatory requirements clearly across diverse teams; ability to develop comprehensive training materials is preferred.

Pay: $125,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
