Must have completed Certification for Dental Assisting. New Graduate Dental Assistants are welcome to apply, as we are willing to train candidates without experience. Responsibilities
- MUST BE ABLE TO REPORT TO WORK FOR SCHEDULED HOURS: M-TH 7:00a-3:30p
- Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Prepare and maintain the dental operatory, including sterilizing instruments and managing infection control protocols.
- Perform dental documentation accurately and in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Take dental imaging as required, ensuring high-quality results for diagnostic purposes.
- Maintain accurate patient records using MacPractice or similar dental software systems.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
- Uphold aseptic techniques to prevent contamination during procedures.
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient clinic operations.
Qualifications
- 1-2 year experience as a Dental Assistant perferred or willing to train for the position.
- Familiarity with dental documentation practices and HIPAA compliance.
- Proficiency in dental imaging techniques and equipment; NOMAD
- Experience with Itero Scanning is preferred
- Understanding of infection control standards and protocols.
- Experience with Open Dental software is preferred
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
- Aseptic technique knowledge is essential for maintaining a safe clinical environment.
