Job Summary
The Cycle Counter is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records by performing regular cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and supporting overall inventory control processes. This role helps ensure inventory accuracy, supports operational efficiency, and minimizes stock variances within a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities

Perform daily, weekly, or monthly cycle counts of inventory items

Verify quantities of materials, parts, and finished goods in warehouse or production areas

Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies and variances

Record and update inventory data in ERP/WMS systems

Assist with root cause analysis of inventory issues and implement corrective actions

Support physical inventory audits and annual stock counts

Work closely with warehouse, production, and purchasing teams to ensure inventory accuracy

Identify and report damaged, obsolete, or slow-moving inventory

Maintain organized and accurate inventory locations and labeling

Perform inventory control audits as required

Operate forklifts to support inventory counting, product put-away, and warehouse organization

Follow company policies, safety standards, and procedures
Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required

1–3 years of experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or cycle counting preferred

Basic knowledge of inventory systems (ERP or WMS, NetSuite preferred)

Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Basic math and data entry skills

Ability to lift and move materials as needed

Forklift certification
