St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Smithton, IL is seeking an individual to serve as its bookkeeper. Applicants must have a background in bookkeeping/accounting, including General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and Payroll. Fund accounting experience and a degree in accounting is preferred. Experience with Quickbooks is also preferred. Applicants must have experience with Excel and Word. This individual will report to the Pastor, and possess good communication skills to present financial information and results to the Parish’s Finance Committee and Parish Council. This is a part-time position (estimated at 28 hours per week).
