Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Store Manager familiar with the oilfield industry and general supplies to lead our retail operations with enthusiasm and precision. In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily store activities, manage a diverse team, and ensure an outstanding customer experience. Your leadership will drive sales growth, optimize inventory management, and uphold operational excellence across all store functions.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the retail team, fostering a positive work environment through effective training, coaching, and development.
- Manage store operations including sales management, inventory control, merchandising, and stock replenishment to maximize profitability.
- Oversee purchasing decisions, pricing strategies, and POS (Point of Sale) systems to ensure smooth transactions and accurate cash handling.
- Implement employee orientation programs, conduct interviewing processes for new hires, and participate in recruiting efforts to build a strong team.
- Maintain operational management standards by overseeing shift management, budgeting, bookkeeping, payroll processing, and cash handling procedures.
- Ensure exceptional customer service by addressing customer inquiries promptly and maintaining high standards of phone etiquette and communication skills.
- Monitor inventory levels regularly to prevent stock shortages or overstock situations while managing inventory management systems effectively.
Skills
- Proven management experience within the retail industry with a focus on sales team leadership and operational oversight.
- Strong skills in negotiation, purchasing, pricing strategies, and inventory management.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to supervise staff effectively and manage managerial communication across teams.
- Multilingual or bilingual abilities are a plus for engaging diverse customer bases.
- Experience with POS systems, cashiering procedures, bookkeeping, payroll processing, and basic math is essential.
- Demonstrated ability in training & development initiatives along with supervisory experience in retail store environments.
- Knowledge of retail math principles including sales management, budgeting, merchandising, stock control, and operational management.
- Strong organizational skills with an emphasis on time management and efficient workflow processes.
- Familiarity with Mud Pumps and Mud Pump Expendables is a huge plus.
- Familiarity with QuickBooks and Accu-Tech is also a huge plus.
