Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and dependable CDL DRIVER / ROOF LOADER to join our dynamic team. This role combines professional driving with hands-on roof loading, ensuring timely delivery of roofing materials and equipment to job sites. As a key player in our logistics operation, you will be responsible for operating various trucks while also assisting with the manual loading and unloading of materials. Duties
- Safely operate a variety of commercial trucks such as tractor-trailers, dump trucks, flatbeds, and specialized loaders to transport roofing materials and equipment.
- Load and unload roofing supplies using manual lifting techniques or mechanical loaders like Cane/Boom and Ladder trucks.
- Ensure accurate delivery by verifying orders against shipping documents and maintaining proper documentation throughout the process.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections on all vehicles to ensure mechanical safety and compliance with transportation regulations.
- Assist in loading roofs onto trucks by manually lifting or using appropriate machinery, ensuring secure placement for transport.
- Maintain a clean and organized truck interior and exterior, adhering to safety standards at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, site managers, and team members to coordinate deliveries and resolve any logistical issues promptly.
Experience
- Proven experience as a commercial driver with a valid CDL license (Class A ), including experience with manual transmissions preferred
- Demonstrated ability to lift heavy materials safely during roof loading tasks in compliance with safety guidelines.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions accurately while maintaining a high level of safety awareness. Pay: From $21.00 per hour
