We are looking for an energetic, dependable Dental Hygiene Assistant to join our team! This position is specifically focused on supporting our dental hygienists and hygiene department to help provide an efficient, positive experience for our patients.
This is a great opportunity for someone interested in the dental field, including a dental assisting student, pre-dental or pre-hygiene student, or someone looking for a consistent part-time evening schedule.
Dental experience is preferred but not required. We are happy to train the right person!
Schedule
Monday–Thursday: 3:00 PM–8:00 PM
Two Saturdays per month: 8:00 AM–1:00 PM
Approximately 22–23 hours per week
Compensation
$20–$24 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
What You'll Do
As a Dental Hygiene Assistant, you'll work directly with our hygienists to help keep the hygiene department running smoothly.
Responsibilities include:
- Seating and preparing patients for hygiene appointments
- Taking dental X-rays
- Setting up and turning over hygiene treatment rooms
- Sterilizing instruments
- Maintaining infection-control standards
- Stocking and organizing hygiene rooms
- Assisting hygienists with charting and other clinical needs
- Helping maintain efficient patient flow
- Providing friendly and professional patient care
- Supporting the hygiene team throughout the shift
