YOUTH SPECIALIST I - JUVENILE DETENTION CENTER
DEPARTMENT: Elkhart County Judiciary-Court Services
HIRING RANGE: Morning Shift-$23.23-$25.83/hour based on education and position related experience. Evening/Midnight Shift-$24.23-$26.83/hour based on education and position related experience. Longevity pay after 3 years.

JOB SUMMARY:
The Elkhart County Juvenile Detention Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Youth Care Specialist to join their dynamic team. This position will be responsible for providing direct care supervision and program services to all residents. This position will also be responsible for meeting the safety/security and emotional needs of all residents.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, criminal justice or human service delivery preferred.
• Must obtain proper certifications within first 6 months of employment and maintain those certifications
• Valid Drivers' License
• Hepatitis B Vaccine Eligible
• Pre-employment background check, drug test, and physical exam required
