Position Overview:
The Crane Operator / Material Handler – Plate will be responsible for workplace safety procedures, conducting quality inspections, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations and ISO company standards. This role is essential in maintaining a safe work environment while also ensuring that products meet the highest levels of quality before reaching customers.
- Performs daily pre-shift inspections on cranes
- Locate material as allocated on work order
- Verify material meets order requirements
- Do AS IS orders as required
- Fill out and complete all necessary documents and forms
- Loads and unloads trucks using overhead crane
- Performs shipping and receiving inspections
- Stacks plate in safe manner in designated storage areas
- Perform daily crane inspections
- Works with burner operator to remove scrap from table
- Works with burner operator to remove finished parts from table
- Assist if needed and performs cleaning and packaging functions
- Assists in various other duties as directed by supervisor
- Maintains safe and good housekeeping in work areas
- Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any non-conformities relating to product, process, and QMS/EMS.
- Identify and record any problems relating to the product, process, and Quality/Environmental system.
- Initiate, recommend or provide solutions through designated channels.
- Verify the implementation of solutions.
- Control further processing or delivery of nonconforming product until the deficiency or unsatisfactory condition has been corrected.
