American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with Level I Trauma experience for a night shift position at a Level I Trauma, academic teaching hospital with a children's hospital.

Level I Trauma, academic teaching hospital with a children's hospital in an acute care setting with 554 staffed beds
-
RRT unit with an average daily census of 6–10 ventilated patients
-
Night shift, 4x12-hour shifts (18:00–06:30)
-
Up to 3 weekends may be scheduled per 4-week schedule period
-
No on-call requirement
-
No floating required
-
Charting in Cerner and Midas/CarePort
-
Current NM RRT license (pending license accepted); license required if applicable

Active certifications: RRT, BLS, ACLS (RQI certifications not accepted)

Minimum 2 years of experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist

Level I Trauma experience required
-
Proficiency in Trauma, ER, Adult ICU, and Adult Floor Therapies
-
Competency in airway management, medication administration, and ventilator management
-
Experience with ABGs, O2 therapies, suctioning, pulmonary toileting, nebulizer therapy, BiPAP, and CPAP
-
COVID vaccination required; religious and medical exemptions accepted with a completed exemption form signed by a provider

Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible

Requested time off exceeding 7 days requires approval
