As a Maintenance Technician, you'll help maintain and repair our convenience stores and company facilities throughout Michigan's Eastern Upper Peninsula. You'll travel between locations in a company-provided maintenance van, performing a variety of repairs that keep our operations running safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities include:

Perform general building maintenance, repairs, and preventative maintenance.

Repair and maintain electrical systems, lighting, switches, outlets, and fixtures.

Troubleshoot and repair plumbing fixtures, doors, windows, drywall, flooring, and other building components.

Complete carpentry, painting, masonry, and concrete repairs as needed.

Install, move, and repair equipment, motors, fixtures, and other mechanical systems.

Use hand and power tools safely and effectively.

Perform inspections and testing to ensure equipment operates safely and meets applicable codes.

Respond to maintenance requests and assist with emergency repairs when necessary.

Maintain accurate records of completed work and communicate effectively with supervisors and store personnel.

Follow all company safety policies and procedures while delivering quality workmanship.
- Experience in commercial building maintenance, facilities maintenance, or a skilled trade preferred.

Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and general building maintenance.

Ability to diagnose problems and complete repairs independently.
-
Strong communication and customer service skills when working with store teams.

Self-motivated with excellent time management and organizational skills.
-
Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.

Ability to travel throughout the Eastern Upper Peninsula.

Typical start time of 7:00 AM

8-hour shifts

Overtime may be required based on business needs.

Occasional emergency call-outs, evenings, or weekend work may be necessary.
This position requires frequent standing, walking, climbing, bending, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and working with hand and power tools. Candidates must be able to lift and move materials weighing 50 pounds or more and work safely around mechanical equipment, electrical systems, and varying outdoor weather conditions.
