Position Title: Part time Retail Key Holder
Reports To: Store Manager
Position Overview
We are seeking a dependable, energetic, and customer-focused Retail Key Holder to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for store opening and closing procedures, and maintaining visual standards in the absence of executive management. If you possess a strong work ethic, excel in customer-facing roles, and are eager to step into retail, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities & Essential Functions
Store Opening & Closing Operations:
Opening and closing procedures, including disarming/arming alarm systems, locking/unlocking doors, and ensuring physical store security.
Execute daily register reconciliation, cash drawer counts, secure safe drops.
Customer Service & Sales Performance:
Deliver exceptional service by proactively greeting customers, answering product questions, and assisting with purchasing decisions.
Visual Merchandising & Inventory Control:
Maintain clean, organized visual displays.
Assist in receiving, unpacking, tagging, and stocking incoming shipments while enforcing loss-prevention procedures.
Point-of-Sale (POS):
Operate register systems accurately for checkout, and gift card issuance.
Ensure opening/closing operational checklists are thoroughly executed.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education & Age: High school diploma or GED equivalent required; must be at least 18 years old.
Technical Proficiency: Experience with Point-of-Sale (POS) systems, register math, handheld barcode scanners, and basic computer applications.
Availability & Physical Requirements
Work Schedule: Must have flexible availability to work night shifts, weekends, and peak holiday shopping seasons.
Physical Demands:
Ability to stand and walk on the sales floor for extended periods.
Ability to lift, push, pull, and maneuver inventory boxes weighing up to minimum 40 lbs.
Frequent bending, reaching, stooping, and climbing step stools or ladders to restock products.
