GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsible for performing customer support and service tasks within a community club setting to support daily operations.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Greet customers and answer phones at the front desk. Take accurate messages with details for manager.
- Account for correct money transactions and cash drawer.
- Book space for clubs and organizations.
- Log and handle all paperwork and keys accurately.
- Be knowledgeable of and make reservations for bus tours.
- Follow rental procedures for center equipment.
- Support special events and programs including setup and breakdown of events. Some janitorial duties may be included.
- Monitor usage of facilities. Enforce rules and regulations.
- Assist the Recreation Department with special projects, reports, and inventories.
- Ensure all forms and waivers are properly signed by customers and filed.
- Ensure that the center and equipment are kept clean.
- Notify Assistant Manager of Events and Program Sales of any changes, conflicts, repairs, and maintenance issues at the center.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma or GED
- Customer Service experience
- Office or Hospitality Industry Experience a plus
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and Point of Sale software.
REQUIRED LICENSES AND/OR CERTIFICATES
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk
- Must be able to lift/reach 40 pounds at a time (more with assistance)
