Masis Staffing is seeking an experienced Stainless Steel MIG Pipe Welder to join a fabrication team in Phoenix, AZ. The ideal candidate will have strong experience welding stainless steel pipe using the GMAW (MIG) process and be capable of producing high-quality welds that meet industry standards. This role requires precision, blueprint reading skills, and a strong commitment to safety and craftsmanship.
The Stainless Steel MIG Pipe Welder is responsible for performing production and precision welding on stainless steel pipe in a fabrication shop environment. This includes material preparation, welding in multiple positions, and ensuring all finished work meets quality and inspection standards.
- Perform MIG (GMAW) welding on stainless steel pipe in multiple positions (2G, 5G, and 6G as required).
- Prepare pipe and fittings for welding, including fit-up, beveling, grinding, and cleaning surfaces.
- Read and interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, and Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS).
- Ensure welds meet quality standards and pass visual inspections and testing requirements.
- Maintain proper shielding gas coverage and contamination control during welding.
- Operate and maintain welding machines, grinders, and shop tools safely.
- Follow all safety procedures and fabrication shop protocols.
- Collaborate with fitters, foremen, and team members to complete projects efficiently.
