About Marzae
Marzae was founded in 2023 to make exceptional natural wine rooted in New England's terroir—and to build community around it. Cellar + Provisions, our new tasting room at Boston Public Market, brings that mission to life through chef-driven seasonal small plates, thoughtful wine pairings, and a genuine celebration of regional food and craft.
We run a 24-seat full-service dining room (à la carte + prix fixe), a 60-seat casual counter-service taproom, and weekend brunch. Our kitchen is ventless—no fryer, no open flame—and designed for a tight, skilled team. We cook with intention and take pride in zero-waste, flavor-forward, locally sourced food.
What you'll do
Responsibilities vary by role, but across the team you can expect to:
- Execute food to recipe and quality standards with consistency across every service
- Maintain clean, organized stations and contribute to a smooth, safe kitchen environment
- Support prep work including ferments, preserves, sauces, and mise en place as needed
- Communicate clearly within the team during service
- Uphold food safety, HACCP practices, and hygiene standards at all times
- Grow into your role—we promote from within and want to build long-term with our team
Lead line cooks will additionally help coordinate prep delegation, guide junior staff, and step into a leadership role during service.
Who we're looking for
- Genuine interest in local food, fermentation, and the philosophy behind what we're doing
- A collaborative, low-ego approach—we're a small team and everyone matters
- Reliability, punctuality, and care for the people around you
- Comfort working in a tight, fast-paced kitchen environment
- Openness to feedback and a desire to keep learning
- Prior kitchen experience preferred for line and lead roles; not required for prep and porter positions
