EHMC is seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Pharmacist to join our dynamic hospital . Duties
- Dispense medications accurately while adhering to pharmaceutical regulations and hospital policies
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to determine appropriate medication therapy plans
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals in hospital medicine, ICU, emergency room, and specialized units such as PICU and oncology
- Manage IV infusions and aseptic techniques for sterile compounding and medication administration
- Utilize Electronic Medical Records (EMR/EHR) systems to document patient interactions, medication orders, and treatment plans
- Provide clinical pharmacy services including acute pain management, opioid stewardship, and drug regulation compliance
- Precept pharmacy residents and students to foster professional growth and ensure high standards of practice
- Perform medication reconciliation, patient education, and discharge planning to enhance patient care continuity
- Monitor for adverse drug reactions, contraindications, and ensure pharmaceutical safety standards are maintained
Experience
- Prior practicing as a licensed pharmacist with post-residency experience in hospital or clinical settings
- Extensive knowledge of pharmacology, physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to acute care environments
- Proven experience in managed care programs and Level I & Level II trauma center operations
- Demonstrated expertise in critical care areas such as ICU, emergency room, PICU, or oncology units with hands-on experience in IV compounding and aseptic techniques
- Familiarity with Pharmacy Information Systems (PIS) and hospital pharmacy workflows including EMR/EHR documentation practices
- Experience with medication therapy management including acute pain management, opioid stewardship, and oncology pharmacotherapy
- Strong understanding of drug regulation policies, pharmaceutical compliance standards, and safety protocols within hospital pharmacy settings
- Ability to assess patient needs effectively through patient service skills combined with a thorough understanding of pharmacotherapeutics and medical terminology
- Skilled in precepting pharmacy students or residents to promote clinical excellence within the pharmacy team

Pay: $75.00 - $80.00 per hour
