Overview
We are a growing Black United Methodist congregation seeking a gifted, dependable, and Spirit-led keyboard player to join our worship ministry. Our church values vibrant, authentic worship that honors God, embraces our rich musical heritage, and inspires spiritual growth within our congregation.

Responsibilities
Primary Responsibilities
- Provide keyboard accompaniment for weekly worship services, special services, and other church events as scheduled.
- Collaborate with the pastor, choir director, worship leaders, and music ministry to plan and support worship experiences.
- Accompany the choir, praise team, soloists, and congregational singing with musical excellence and sensitivity.
- Attend and actively participate in scheduled rehearsals, planning meetings, and ministry events.
- Demonstrate flexibility in playing a variety of gospel, traditional hymns, contemporary worship music, and other styles appropriate for United Methodist worship.
- Be prepared, punctual, and professional for all scheduled services and rehearsals.
- Maintain open, respectful, and effective communication with church leadership and members of the music ministry.
- Support a positive, encouraging, and collaborative worship environment.
- Exercise sound judgment and professionalism while representing the church and its ministry.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated proficiency in keyboard performance with the ability to accompany singers, choirs, and congregational worship.
- Experience serving as a church musician, preferably in a Black church or similar worship setting.
- Familiarity with traditional gospel music, hymns, contemporary gospel, and worship music.
- Ability to play by ear, read music, or a combination of both is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a servant's heart and a commitment to teamwork.
- Dependable, organized, and respectful of ministry schedules and responsibilities.
