Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team. Duties
- Conduct thorough physical examinations and patient assessments to determine health status and develop individualized care plans.
- Manage acute and chronic conditions across various specialties such as internal medicine, geriatrics, pediatrics, emergency medicine, and behavioral health.
- Perform procedures including suturing, IV insertion, catheterization, dermal fillers, and sterile processing techniques.
- Administer medications and injections following HIPAA guidelines and ensure proper documentation within EMR (Electronic Medical Record) systems like Epic or eClinicalWorks.
- Provide telehealth consultations to expand access to care and support patients remotely while maintaining compliance with all regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with physicians, specialists, nurses, case managers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
- Educate patients on health coaching topics such as nutrition, medication management, disease prevention, and post-discharge instructions.
Requirements
- Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with valid certification in your practicing state.
- Demonstrated experience in medical office settings with proficiency in EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Athenahealth.
- Critical care experience including ICU or Level I/II trauma center exposure is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, diagnostic evaluation techniques (e.g., sonography), and CPT coding for procedures.
- Hands-on experience with diverse clinical procedures such as venipuncture, sterile technique, airway management, and gastrostomy tube feeding.
- Familiarity with specialty areas including gastroenterology, infectious disease care, hospice & palliative medicine, occupational health, or emergency medicine is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments like urgent care clinics or hospital inpatient units while maintaining excellent patient care standards.
- Excellent communication skills for triage assessments and patient education across age groups including pediatrics and geriatrics.
