Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Computer Science, Robotics & STEAM Electives Teacher to inspire the next generation of innovators and problem-solvers. Duties
- Develop comprehensive curriculum plans that incorporate advanced topics such as algorithms, coding languages, robotics programming, and scientific research methods.
- Deliver engaging lessons tailored to diverse learning styles and cultural backgrounds, ensuring all students can participate actively in classroom activities.
- Implement IT-integrated lessons utilizing educational technology tools to enhance student understanding of complex concepts in computer science and STEM fields.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a safe, inclusive environment conducive to exploration and inquiry.
- Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary projects, curriculum development, and assessment strategies aligned with educational standards.
- Guide students through laboratory experiments, dissection activities, and research projects in biology, chemistry, microbiology, genetics, and molecular biology.
- Assess student progress regularly through formative and summative evaluations; provide constructive feedback to support continuous improvement.
- Support students preparing for standardized testing by integrating relevant practice exercises into lesson plans.
- Mentor students interested in science competitions or research initiatives; foster curiosity through extracurricular activities and tutoring sessions.
- Ensure compliance with educational regulations and institutional policies while maintaining high standards of instructional quality.
Experience
- Proven teaching experience in high school or middle school settings with a focus on science, mathematics, or STEM electives.
- Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development across subjects such as algebra, geometry, trigonometry, calculus, discrete math, differential equations, organic chemistry, biochemistry, genetics, cell biology, microbiology, molecular biology, and laboratory research techniques.
- Strong background in classroom management coupled with excellent communication skills tailored for working with teenagers from diverse backgrounds.
- Experience implementing educational technology tools and designing IT-integrated lessons that enhance student engagement and understanding.
- Familiarity with special education needs and adaptive teaching strategies to support all learners effectively.
- Knowledge of standardized testing procedures and experience preparing students for assessments in science and math disciplines.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues on lesson planning, instructional design, research projects, and curriculum implementation initiatives.
- Prior private school or Montessori teaching experience is advantageous but not required; a passion for innovative education methods is essential.

Pay: $48,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
