Duties
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, light house work, and mobility support.
- Monitor patient health and reporting back with concerns.
- Support clients with meal preparation, feeding, and ensuring proper nutrition tailored to individual dietary needs.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a respectful and engaging environment.
- Maintain cleanliness of clients home through regular cleaning and sanitation practices to promote hygiene and safety.
- Support clients with cognitive impairments such as dementia or Alzheimer’s disease through specialized memory care techniques and personalized approaches.
Skills
- Proven experience working with individuals with disabilities, developmental or neurodevelopmental disorders, including autism and intellectual disabilities support.
- Strong knowledge of patient observation, and first aid practices.
- Familiarity with care plans, HIPAA compliance, and home care standards.
- Experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or in home environments is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform light housekeeping and maintain a clean environment.
- Excellent communication skills for client interaction and teamwork within a caregiving setting.
- Demonstrated ability to be a self starter.
