In this position, the employee will package items and prepare shipments to customers and vendors. In the receiving role, you will correctly receive products/supplies and stock shelves. QC Inspection experience a plus - familiar with reading mechanical drawings. Use calipers, a height gauge, micrometers, thread gauge pins (go/no-go), and a dial indicator.
Duties:
Build, pack, and label boxes for shipment
Receive deliveries
Unpack boxes upon receiving, stock shelves
Able to follow instructions both verbally and in writing
Able to perform repetitive work for the entire shift with efficiency and accuracy
Able to work by themselves and well with others
Assist with any other special projects as assigned
Assists with the general cleanliness of the warehouse/assembly
Qualifications:
Packing and shipping experience required (Foam Machine)
Ability to stand for the entire shift
Ability to lift boxes up to 50 lbs
Knowledgeable on using a box-cutter, tape gun, ladders, and other equipment in a safe manner
Detail-oriented
Organizational skills
Ability to accept and adapt to changing priorities
Knowledge and understanding of best shipping practices – based on box size, destination, weight, and cost differences via shippers.
Hours: M - F 7 AM to 3:30 PM
