What The Group Leader Does:

Research, develop and execute fun and engaging lesson plans (activities), to create opportunities for discovery learning, adventure, and recreation.

Provide group and/or individual assistance to "at-risk" children and/or youth student participants in academic and/or nonacademic activities.

Participate in client progress meetings/conferences with parents and school personnel.

Participate in administrative and staff meetings as requested.

Provide all required information for weekly/monthly/quarterly/annual reports.

May actively solicit and coordinate internship or job opportunities for clients.

Tasks may be modified, expanded and/or assigned over time.
Education, Licenses and/or Experience Required:
-
High School Diploma or HSE, and two years direct experience working with children under 13 years of age, or
-
School-age Child Care Credential or other Office recognized credential specific to the school- age developmental period, and One year experience working with children less than 13 years of age, or
- Associate's degree in Child Development, Elementary Education, Physical Education, Recreation or a related field
Preferred Qualifications:

Familiarity with the youth development field, after school or summer camp experience; strongly preferred.
