Location: Morristown, NJ
Pay: $140,000-$160,000 – 25% Bonus – 4 Weeks of PTO to start
Schedule: Monday-Friday days

This is a newly created position to assist a small power plant team that just secured a 20 year PPA. Now that they have stability, they're looking to add an O&M Manager to support the current PM with day to day plant operations & maintenance.
Job Description:
The O&M Manager oversees the safe, efficient, and compliant daily operations of a power generation facility. They manage budgets, optimize plant performance, and ensure strict adherence to environmental and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct daily generation activities to maximize efficiency, availability, and productivity while monitoring equipment performance.
- Develop, manage, and execute site O&M and capital budgets, analyze billing statements, and control costs.
- Ensure strict adherence to OSHA, EPA, and regional regulatory mandates.
- Oversee environmental reporting, hazardous material management, and site emergency response protocols.
- Recruit, train, and manage operating personnel. Coordinate employee development, safety training, and shift scheduling.
- Coordinate planned and unplanned facility maintenance, root cause analyses for forced outages, and equipment troubleshooting.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Power Engineering. (An MBA or advanced engineering degree is a common asset).
- Minimum 5–10 years of progressive experience in power generation, including several years in a supervisory or management capacity.
- Strong working knowledge of generating equipment (e.g., boilers, turbines), SCADA/DCS systems, and CMMS software
