American Traveler is seeking a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist with 2+ years of experience for an outpatient-focused position at a smaller California facility, with a mix of inpatient and acute rehab coverage.

Smaller facility with primary focus on outpatient pediatric speech therapy coverage

Mix of outpatient, inpatient, and acute rehab unit (ARU) evaluations and treatment
-
Occasional home health responsibilities

Weekend coverage includes adult acute rehab evaluations and treatment as needed
-
Schedule is Thursday–Monday or Sunday–Thursday, 8:00am to 4:30pm

Day shift, 5x8-hour schedule

Current and active California SLP license required if applicable

Current BLS (Healthcare Provider) certification required
-
Minimum 2 years of recent, relevant SLP experience

Experience with pediatric outpatient and adult acute rehab populations

2 supervisor references obtained within the past year are required for consideration

Provides assessment, treatment, and evaluation for patients with cognitive, speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders

Builds rapport and communicates effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams

Adheres to all applicable local, state, and federal regulations and facility policies to ensure patient privacy and safety

May assist with clinical supervision of SLP assistants and aides, and serve as a clinical instructor for assigned students

Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have been away for at least 1 year to be eligible to return as a traveler

Only 1 holiday RTO request will be approved for this assignment

Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates
