POSITION OVERVIEW
The Kitchen Manager / Production Floor Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the kitchen production area at Inanna Manufacturing. This role focuses on optimizing production workflows, developing and implementing standard operating procedures (SOPs), managing kitchen staff, maintaining safety and quality standards, and driving continuous operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong initiative, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with both kitchen staff and management.

Hourly Pay Range: $31 - $42/hour DOE (Depending on Experience)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage and train kitchen production staff; schedule shifts, monitor attendance, and ensure adequate kitchen coverage
Supervise food preparation, equipment usage, and workspace organization to maintain efficiency and safety
Conduct daily stand-ups and brief the team on production priorities and changes
Document current production workflows step-by-step and identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies
Develop written, detailed standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all key kitchen processes, equipment operation, and quality checkpoints
Implement new processes and train staff on execution; continuously refine SOPs based on performance feedback
Monitor kitchen cleanliness, equipment maintenance, and workplace safety daily
Track and report on compliance issues, safety concerns, or near-misses
Manage par levels for ingredients, supplies, and materials; place orders and coordinate receiving
Track waste and identify waste reduction opportunities throughout production
Ensure equipment is functioning properly and coordinate maintenance requests
Track kitchen-specific metrics including batches completed per shift, labor hours per batch, rework/waste rates, and production cycle time
Report daily and weekly metrics to the operations or production lead; identify trends and escalate recurring issues
Verify that kitchen output matches product specifications and conduct quality spot-checks during production
Document quality deviations and communicate with quality assurance or management as needed
Create training materials (checklists, visual guides, documentation) to support staff development and consistency
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
3+ years of experience in food production, kitchen management, manufacturing, or related production environment
Proven experience developing or implementing SOPs and process documentation
Strong leadership and communication skills; ability to train and motivate kitchen staff
Meticulous attention to detail with ability to maintain quality and safety standards
Demonstrated initiative and drive to identify and implement efficiency improvements
Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety regulations
Ability to track metrics, analyze data, and report on operational performance
Proficiency with basic computer systems and willingness to learn production software
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic production environment
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience in cannabis production or regulated manufacturing environments
Certification in food safety or lean process improvement (Six Sigma, Kaizen)
Experience with METRC or inventory tracking systems
Background in business process optimization or continuous improvement
Experience working in small/growing companies or startup environments
