Job Summary
Small, family-owned business seeking a dependable and motivated HVAC & Commercial Kitchen Equipment Preventative Maintenance Technician! In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and longevity of commercial HVAC systems and kitchen equipment through proactive maintenance and repairs. You must be able to efficiently keep essential systems running safely and smoothly for our customers.
Duties
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on HVAC systems, refrigeration units, and commercial kitchen equipment to prevent breakdowns and extend equipment lifespan
- Diagnose mechanical issues using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools to identify root causes quickly and accurately
- Conduct minor appliance repairs, including air conditioning units, refrigeration systems, and various kitchen appliances, ensuring minimal downtime
- Follow detailed service procedures and safety protocols during all maintenance activities to ensure compliance with industry standards
- Collaborate with our Service team members to coordinate maintenance schedules and share technical knowledge for continuous improvement
- Document all service activities meticulously, including repairs performed, parts used, and system conditions for accurate record-keeping using our work orders
- Be open to learning techniques from experienced technicians and aiding in various installations with other Service technicians and have strong communication and customer service skills
Requirements
- Three years or more experience in HVAC or kitchen appliance repair preferred.
- Hand tools
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read schematics and technical diagrams effectively
- Hands-on experience with appliance repair, equipment maintenance, and troubleshooting mechanical systems
- Ability to work independently with problem solving skills as well as manage current PM contracts in place to complete on a monthly basis
- Valid EPA certification and clean driver's license and record a must
- Ability to work in various indoor and outdoor environments and lift 50+ pounds.
- Experience with electrical wiring is beneficial
We offer competitive pay based on experience and provide a work vehicle for work-related travel after a 90 day probationary period. First few weeks of training is paid and opportunities to advance are available. We have benefits as well!
Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
