Position Summary:
The Machine Operator plays a crucial role in the production process by operating various pieces of finishing equipment to produce high-quality products. This position provides an opportunity to learn and develop skills across multiple machines, working collaboratively with the production team to meet targets and ensure timely delivery.
Essential Responsibilities/Duties:
Machine Operation & Production:
- Operate machinery following standard operating procedures to ensure efficiency and quality.
- Monitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments to maintain optimal output.
- Machinery will include guillotine cutters and inserting machines.
Maintenance & Troubleshooting:
- Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues and prevent production disruptions.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of machinery to ensure proper function.
- Troubleshoot minor machine-related issues and escalate concerns to the production supervisor as needed.
Safety & Compliance:
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to maintain a secure work environment.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations related to machine operation.
General Support:
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support production needs.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Willingness to learn and operate various types of machinery.
- Basic knowledge of machinery operation and maintenance (prior experience is a plus but not required).
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production deadlines.
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
