Apogee North Texas is hiring a lead teacher for a mixed-age group of 18 to 20 students, ages 8 to 12, beginning August 2026. Students in this room learn by finishing things. They start small businesses, manage real budgets, and work through projects that take weeks to complete. The teacher’s job is to see that the work gets finished and finished well.
We’re a hybrid home-school in Flower Mound. Students attend campus Tuesday through Thursday and learn at home with their families on Mondays and Fridays. Campus mornings are dedicated to core academics in reading, writing, and math. Afternoons belong to student-led projects, workshops, and real-world work.
The afternoon work runs in two modes. Workshops you build around practical subjects (starting a business, handling money, speaking well) drawn from your own working life. And individual coaching, where you help a student find where a project has stalled and get it moving again. You agree with each student on what gets done by the next session, then hold them to it.
Progress is documented in portfolios and presented at public showcases rather than measured by letter grades. Success in this role looks like students who speak clearly, carry themselves with earned confidence, and finish what they start. Our mission is grounded in faith, family, and country, and academic rigor and personal responsibility sit at the center of the school day.
