POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
· Establish & maintain solid relationships with our regional customers.
· Pick-up and deliveries utilizing a tractor & trailer combo.
· Legibly complete accurate daily logs notating all requirements under the law.
· Plan travel schedules and route using tablet and other trip planning aids.
· Ensure order accuracy upon accepting or delivering to the customer.
· Verifying product in good condition, notating any issues on bill of lading.
· Ensure all appropriate reports, such as pre-trips, daily logs, etc., are submitted in a timely fashion, e-logs are also used.
· Complete a proper pre trip, inter trip and post trip inspections under requirement.
· Monitor vehicle performance and mechanical fitness including possible roadside repairs.
· Maintain a safe and clean environment for yourself, your co-workers and our customers.
· Communicate with customer, warehouse and dispatch.
· Duties not be limited to the above noted items. Occasional warehouse work involved.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
· Class A license required.
· Descent driver’s abstract.
· Bondable, clean MVR.
· Minimum 1 years driving experience.
· A Good attitude, strong work ethic and great customer service skills.
· Ability to lift up to 55 lbs., and the ability to maneuver merchandise in excess of 100 lbs. using appropriate assistance equipment.
· Attention to detail.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
· Self-starters that can work on their own and in a team environment.
· Logistics and/or warehouse experience is preferred, but not necessary.
· Positive can do attitude and the aptitude to back that up.
