Overview
We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Hostess to join our dynamic team. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring exceptional guest experiences. Your responsibilities will include managing a wait list, greeting guests, coordinating seating arrangements to optimize flow and service, selling retail and answering phone calls.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide them with an overview of the dining experience.
- Manage reservations and walk-in guests efficiently, ensuring timely seating.
- Communicate effectively with the kitchen and wait staff to coordinate guest needs and special requests.
- Utilize Toast POS
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host area, including menus and promotional materials.
- Assist guests with inquiries about the menu, specials, and restaurant services to enhance their dining experience.
- Handle guest relations with professionalism, addressing any concerns or feedback promptly and courteously.
- Support the team during peak hours by helping with additional tasks as needed to ensure smooth operations.
Skills
- Strong phone etiquette.
- Excellent communication skills to interact positively with guests and team members.
- A background in hospitality or food service is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with Toast POS or other point-of-sale systems is a plus.
- Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and satisfaction.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A friendly demeanor with a passion for helping others create memorable dining experiences.
