Bridal Alterations Consultant
Job Summary
Alteration Consultants + Bridal Stylists are responsible for maintaining excellent customer service while booking and fulfilling bridal alterations/sales appointments. During appointments, consultants will fit garments to the bride for alterations, take pictures for reference, and communicate with the brides what alterations are suggested, based on direction from the designer. As a stylist, they will help the bride find the best fit gown based on their wants and needs. They are responsible for maintaining a relationship with our brides, keeping communication, and scheduling follow-up appointments. This is an emotional time for our brides, so bridal consultants are expected to handle each interaction with compassion and emotional intelligence.
Alteration Consultants: Job Duties
- Manage day-to-day responsibilities in a professional, positive, and efficient manner
- Greeting and helping customers upon arrival, sometimes balancing multiple customers at the same time
- Booking appointments on sales portal
- Creating bubbly and snack packages when ordered
- Maintaining floor appearance to look presentable, clean, and luxurious
- Provide one-on-one bridal support within the allowed appointment time length
- Answer phones, emails, and voicemails in a timely manner
- Communicate with the seamstresses effectively by completing the alterations paperwork in its entirety and by verbal direction, if needed
- Maintain alterations floor appearance to look presentable, clean, and luxurious
- Greeting customers upon arrival, sometimes balancing multiple customers at the same time
- Record the bride’s measurements to ensure accuracy in dress alterations process
- Increase store sales by maximizing revenue through the sale of accessories and alterations
- Maintaining a clean and organized workspace
- Maintain relationships with brides to build trust
- Training family, friends, and/or bride for wedding day
- Pressing dresses and double-checking work performed on the dress
- Cleaning front-of-house, back-of-house, common areas, and bathrooms in accordance with company cleaning procedures
- Booking appointments on respective portal
- Perform typical office work such as filing, working with word documents, spreadsheets, locating customer files, and acting as quality control for outgoing dresses
- Double checking alterations forms to ensure all details are correct
- Support coworkers as needed, including the sales staff
- Any duties as assigned by upper management
Bridal Stylist: Job Duties
- Greeting and helping customers upon arrival, sometimes balancing multiple customers at the same time
- Providing curated client support when taking appointments with brides to find their wedding gown and execute their aesthetic vision
- Taking the bride’s measurements to ensure accuracy in dress orders
- Answering phones, emails, and voicemails in a timely manner
- Booking appointments on sales portal
- Providing information on current sales / promotions, based on information provided by Marketing / Socials team
- Creating bubbly and snack packages when ordered
- Maintaining sales floor appearance to look presentable, clean, and luxurious
- Performing typical office work such as filing, spreadsheets, locating customer files, and checking in new items to act as quality control for newly arrived dresses
- Checking order forms to ensure all details are correct
- Learning how to use the designer portals to search inventory, checking voicemails, and company text messages
- Caling designers for ship dates inquiries and any gown customization
- Following up with brides with regards to their interest in gown purchases or a return appointment to finalize order
- Maintaining close relationships with brides to build trust
- Pressing dresses and double-checking work performed on the dress
- Cleaning front-of-house, back-of-house, common areas, and bathrooms in accordance with company cleaning procedures
- Covering shifts at other locations, if needed
- Showing continuous ability to meet individual sales goals
- Working closely with the management and admin with regards to the delivery of bridal gowns to ensure on time delivery
- Attending quarterly trainings and meetings to improve sales rates, product knowledge, and overall process improvement
- Working closely with alterations to answer any basic tailoring questions brides may have during appointments
- Helping fellow employees with their job duties as needed
- Any duties as assigned by upper management
Working Conditions
Indoor: Store and office setting
Gross Motor: Ability to stand/walk for extended periods, squat, bend, and lift up to (25) lbs
Fine Motor: Using zippers, buttons, typing, clipping, clamping dresses
Saturdays: Required
Job Types: Full-time, Seasonal
Pay: $21.00 - $29.00 per hour
