Join our dynamic construction team as an Insulation Installer, where you'll play a vital role in enhancing building energy efficiency and comfort. Duties
- Measure and cut insulation materials accurately using hand tools and power tools to fit specific spaces.
- Install insulation in walls, ceilings, floors, attics, basements, and other areas following blueprints and schematics.
- Prepare work sites by cleaning surfaces, framing areas, and ensuring proper access for installation.
- Use mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot installation issues and adapt techniques as needed.
- Apply caulking, trim carpentry, or stucco finishing techniques to ensure insulation is sealed and aesthetically integrated.
- Read blueprints and schematics to determine proper insulation placement and specifications.
- Collaborate with other construction trades such as carpenters, masons, HVAC technicians, and roofers to coordinate project tasks effectively.
Skills
- Proficiency with hand tools (e.g., knives, tape measures) and power tools (e.g., drills, saws) for precise installation work.
- Strong understanding of construction estimating principles to assess project needs accurately.
- Experience working on construction sites with knowledge of safety protocols and site logistics.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings related to insulation systems.
- Mechanical aptitude with knowledge of HVAC systems, metal stud framing, concrete finishing, masonry, and roofing is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with fabrication techniques and construction painting processes enhances versatility on-site.
- Knowledge of caulking, trim carpentry, stucco application, airless paint spraying, and other finishing skills is a plus. This position is paid and offers a rewarding environment where your skills contribute directly to building energy-efficient spaces!
