Job Overview
The IME Scheduler is responsible for coordinating and scheduling Independent Medical Examinations (IMEs) in workers' compensation matters. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with clients, medical providers and attorneys.
Responsibilities
- Schedule and coordinate Independent Medical Examinations (IMEs)
- Follow up on cancellations, rescheduling requests and no-shows
- Prepare correspondence, notices, and scheduling letters
- Prepare and process IME mileage checks
- Schedule interpreters when necessary
- Follow up with medical providers' offices to confirm patient attendance at scheduled appointments
- Assist attorneys and legal staff with case-related scheduling needs as necessary
Experience
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a law firm, medical office or related administrative role.
- Experience scheduling appointments and coordinating with medical providers, clients, and attorneys is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple schedules and deadlines simultaneously.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and case management software.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to handle confidential information professionally.
- Prior experience in personal injury, workers' compensation, or insurance defense litigation is preferred.
Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
