Duties
- Provide expert assistance to customers seeking automotive parts and accessories, ensuring accurate identification and recommendations based on vehicle systems and repair needs
- Manage inventory control by stocking, organizing, and maintaining parts in the warehouse or retail space, utilizing inventory management systems such as CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System)
- Process sales transactions efficiently using POS (Point of Sale) systems, handling cash, credit cards, and other payment methods with accuracy and professionalism
- Collaborate with service technicians to identify parts needed for vehicle repairs and diagnostics, leveraging automotive diagnostics knowledge and mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Build strong customer relationships through effective communication, product knowledge sharing, and personalized service to foster loyalty and repeat business
- Maintain organized records of orders, stock levels, and customer interactions using Microsoft Office tools and inventory management software
- Assist in order fulfillment by accurately picking, packing, and dispatching parts promptly to meet customer expectations
Skills
- Extensive automotive parts and accessories knowledge coupled with hands-on experience in vehicle maintenance and automotive repair
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot vehicle systems and identify suitable parts for repairs
- Excellent communication skills in multiple languages (bilingual/multilingual capabilities preferred) to serve diverse customer bases effectively
- Proficiency in using CMMS software, Microsoft Office suite, POS systems, and retail math for accurate inventory management and sales processing
- Proven negotiation skills to upsell products while ensuring customer satisfaction
- Experience in dealership environments or retail sales of automotive parts is highly desirable
- Exceptional organizational skills for stocking, inventory control, order fulfillment, and maintaining a clutter-free workspace
- Customer service-oriented mindset with phone etiquette skills for client communication both in person and over the phone
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while managing multiple tasks such as cashiering, stock management, and client interactions
