Responsibilities
- Safely handle and transport food orders from the kitchen to dining areas, adhering to safe lifting practices and manual handling procedures
- Assist with food preparation, plating, and garnishing as needed to support kitchen staff
- Clear and bus tables efficiently, maintaining cleanliness and organization in dining spaces
- Ensure all food is served at appropriate temperatures and presentation standards are met before delivery
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff using POS systems like Aloha POS to relay special requests or modifications
- Support cleaning duties including sweeping, wiping down surfaces, and maintaining overall sanitation standards in dining and service areas
- Provide friendly, in-person customer service by greeting guests, answering questions about menu items, and addressing special requests or dietary needs
Requirements
- Previous food service experience or restaurant background preferred; experience with food handling and food safety protocols is a plus
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while following proper lifting techniques
- Strong communication skills to coordinate seamlessly with kitchen staff and front-of-house team
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS is advantageous
- Experience in banquet service, catering, or hotel hospitality environments is beneficial
- Knowledge of food preparation, serving standards, and culinary practices enhances your ability to excel in this role
- Demonstrated commitment to guest services, hospitality excellence, and maintaining a clean environment through cleaning and bussing duties
