The Clinical Psychology Ph.D. program is a 5-year, full-time academic program that is designed to meet APA standards of accreditation for doctoral programs in health service psychology and requirements for Licensed Psychologists in the State of Texas. Training consists of a graded sequence of didactic and experiential learning activities designed to enhance students' competencies in research, ethical and legal standards, individual and cultural diversity. professional attitudes and values, communication and interpersonal skills, assessment, intervention, supervision, consultation, and inter-professional skills. This is part-time position, 16hours/week.
Three educational objectives for Internship:
1. Develop graduate-level competencies in research by independently contributing to the design, implementation, and management of clinical psychology research studies, including participant recruitment, data collection, protocol adherence, and regulatory compliance.
2. Strengthen quantitative and scientific communication skills by conducting statistical analyses, interpreting research findings, and/or disseminating results through conference presentations or collaborative scholarly writing.
3. Enhance professional and collaborative research practice by working effectively within multidisciplinary research teams, applying ethical principles in human subject’s research, and demonstrating increasing independence in project coordination, problem-solving, and delegation/supervision of tasks performed by other staff.
