We are growing, and we are looking for an experienced Water Well Field Service Technician to grow with us.
The Opportunity
This is a high-impact, hands-on role for a seasoned technician who wants stability, top-tier pay, and the chance to work on a wide variety of well and pump systems. You will be the face of Maher Services in the field, diagnosing and repairing systems, completing new installations, and earning the trust of our customers. We invest heavily in our people with modern, well-equipped trucks, ongoing training, and a clear path to lead technician and supervisory roles. We offer a competitive salary of $110,000 to $160,000 per year, depending on experience and certifications.
What You Will Do
- Install, service, troubleshoot, and repair submersible and jet pumps, pressure tanks, control systems, and well components.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in the field using schematics, gauges, and diagnostic tools.
- Perform well rehabilitation, flow testing, water sampling, and system performance evaluations.
- Operate and maintain service trucks, rigs, and heavy equipment safely and in compliance with DOT and OSHA standards.
- Read and interpret electrical wiring diagrams and control panels for single- and three-phase pump systems.
- Communicate clearly with customers, explain findings, and recommend solutions with professionalism.
- Complete accurate work orders, service records, and inspection documentation.
- Mentor junior technicians and support apprentices as needed.
What We Are Looking For
- 3+ years of hands-on experience servicing water well pumps, well systems, or closely related field service work. We will consider candidates without direct water well experience.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, including comfort working with 240V and three-phase systems.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; CDL B is a plus or willingness to obtain one.
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs, work outdoors in all weather, and handle the physical demands of field work.
- Customer-focused mindset with strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Self-motivated and dependable, with the ability to work independently and manage a daily route.
- Pump installer, water systems, backflow, or related certifications are highly valued.
