Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Director of Operations specializing in Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) to lead and optimize the financial processes that drive revenue for our healthcare organization. In this pivotal role, you will oversee end-to-end billing, collections, coding, and accounts receivable functions, ensuring maximum efficiency, accuracy, and compliance. Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all aspects of revenue cycle operations, including billing, coding, collections, denials management, and accounts receivable follow-up.
- Develop and implement strategic initiatives to improve cash flow, reduce days in accounts receivable, and enhance overall revenue integrity.
- Collaborate with clinical, financial, and administrative teams to streamline workflows and ensure compliance with industry regulations such as HIPAA, CMS guidelines, and payer requirements.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to revenue cycle performance; analyze data to identify trends and areas for process improvement.
- Oversee the training and development of staff across revenue cycle functions to ensure high levels of expertise and customer service.
- Drive technology adoption by leveraging revenue cycle management software systems; oversee system upgrades and integrations for optimal functionality.
- Ensure accurate documentation, coding compliance, and timely submission of claims to maximize reimbursement while minimizing denials.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, finance, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Extensive experience leading revenue cycle operations within a healthcare setting, with proven success in optimizing financial performance.
- Strong knowledge of medical billing practices, coding standards (ICD-10, CPT), payer policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams, foster collaboration, and drive change management initiatives.
- Proficiency in revenue cycle management software platforms; experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems is highly desirable. Experience with Elation Billing is a bonus.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and develop actionable strategies.
